SAN FRANCISCO
About the project
Silvopastoral · Carbon Neutral Beef
Corrientes, Argentina
Active Pilot
San Francisco is Argentina's first pilot project for Carbon Neutral Beef production. It combines regenerative livestock farming, clonal eucalyptus plantations, and pasture management to achieve a positive carbon balance—capturing more CO2 than is emitted by livestock farming.
The system integrates 86 hectares of eucalyptus trees in silvopastoral alleyways with 282 hectares of planted pastures. Forestry carbon capture exceeds cattle emissions, opening a new market: the Carbon Neutral Beef Certificate (CCCN).
